The IEU will be hosting a series of debates about current educational topics. The topic for this one will be PBL and DI. For each debate, the IEU will invite practitioners with expertise to share their thoughts about the topic. We will then facilitate a discussion where members can share their thoughts and ideas. The event will be registered for one hour of professional development with NESA for all participants (face to face and online).

The IEU is establishing a book club for interested members. We will be reading current educational books and discussing them at termly, online meetings. During the meetings, we will speak to the authors about their books and the future of education in Australia, share ideas and network with each other. This course is a part of a series of four, and is the first in the series. It looks at the philosophy and background to 'behaviour management', giving us an idea as to how certain behaviour of discipline have come into practice in schools (and giving us time to pause and think as to whether we should continue to do them!). The rest of the course looks at setting up and establishing a calm and productive classroom as well as building an intregrated model of behaviour management for all ages.
